Ministry Teams/Coordinators
Children's Ministry Team
Barbara Wigle, Coordinator
The Children's Ministry Team Coordinator oversees
our weekly Sunday school program and other events for children who are enrolled
in kindergarten through fifth grade. She also works to recruit teachers and
provide them with materials needed for teaching each week.
Communications Ministry Team
Sharyn Fees, Coordinator
The Communications Ministry Team Coordinator works to promote activities and
events at St. James' through internal and/or external communication channels.
She also works with members of the Communications Ministry Team to publish our
monthly newsletter--coming soon to your mailbox--and to develop and maintain St.
James' website.
Liturgical Ministry Team
Rod Hosler, Coordinator and Verger
The Liturgical Ministry Coordinator works closely with Fr. Kelly to plan the
liturgy for our weekly services and special services. He also develops the rota,
arranges for training of acolytes, ushers, readers and intercessors, Eucharistic
ministers, etc., and handles all the details that need to be in place to ensure
that services flow smoothly.
Membership Ministry Team
Mary Ann Fees, Coordinator
The Membership Ministry Team is attentive to current members, prospective
members, and visitors to St. James'. The coordinator oversees a team of greeters
whose primary goal is to identify visitors to St. James' and make them feel
welcome and assist them with any questions they may have. The team also sends follow-up letters to visitors and prospective members, and tracks
attendance of church members.
Outreach Ministry Team
Liz Myer, Coordinator
The Outreach Ministry Team's mission is to share our blessings in response to the physical and spiritual needs of those beyond our congregation, both in our community and around the world. A few of our several ministries are bimonthly free meals for the community at our parish, supporting a Second Harvest food pantry in Salineville, both with volunteers and financial assistance, and an annual coat distribution.
Pastoral Ministry Team
Cindy Sharish, Coordinator
The Pastoral Ministry Coordinator leads a team of volunteers who make regular
visits to home-bound members of St. James' as well as those who may be
hospitalized or living in skilled nursing care facilities, assisted living
centers, etc. The team also provides bereavement support to church members.
Youth Ministry Team
Zeke Coughlin/Nancy Hilderbrand, Coordinators
The Youth Ministry Team
works with our young people in grades 7-12. The group meets twice monthly--on
the second and fourth Sundays at 5 p.m.--to discuss volunteer mission
opportunities, play games, sing faith-based songs, and explore their faith
together. They have participated in a week-long mission trip to Harlan, Kentucky
and have also helped to distribute food at a pantry in Salineville operated by
Second Harvest Food Bank. They have also cooked and delivered Thanksgiving meals
to home-bound individuals in our community. The group helps out with Super
Saturday events which target children in grades kindergarten and up.
